Off to Market with my Mixed Media Art Prints.

I only decided early this week to take my art prints to the local Market, which is held tomorrow.  I've never done this before, so I'm hoping it all pays off. I will let you know in the next couple of days how it went.

Here is my latest Whimsical Mixed Media Artwork. I've just put prints of here in my Etsy store.
'Me & My Rabbit'

As always, your critique/ feedback/ comments are always most welcome.

  9. Hi there Natasha, Jenny and Diane,
Thank you all for your lovey comments and encouragement. I do appreciate it very much.

I am very excited about putting MY work out there for people to buy. Nervous also.

There wasn't as much Ohhing and AAhhhing as I would have liked, but I wont give up.

    Thanks,
    Kyles =D

  10. Hi JD,

I created the background first and then drew and painted over the top. Thank goodness it looks textured as apposed to messy.
    Thanks for your comments.

  11. Hi Andrea, Linda & Julie,

Thank you so much for your encouragement and wonderful comments. I'm so glad to be sharing my creative journey with all of you gals.

I was at the market from 9am untill 1pm, but only sold 1 5x7" matted print. This covered my stall fees. =) Never mind. I will do it again next month, when it is on again.

I, at least, had a few hours to sit and draw; and will post my 'Market drawings' soon.

    Thanks again ladies.

  12. Hi Kyles, You sold 1 print, so it is a start, and you covered your fees, which is even better. I think that if you are there regularly you will start to build up a following and steadily sell more. I look forward to seeing your market drawings. I would not have the courage to do something like that in the open.

  13. I'm happy you sold a print - at least you got your name and face out there! It's hard to sell at marketplaces. Congrats on your new painting - it's lovely! So bright and fresh and pretty! Theresa

  14. Hi Linda,
Thank you. I can't just sit and do nothing. At first I was drawing so no one could see what I was drawing, but as the day went on and there wasn't much interest in my stall, I decided to let people see what I was doing, hoping to intrigue them a little. It worked for the fellow stall holders, not sure about the customers. Most of the time though, when I was drawing, it would have been too hard for many to see exactly what I was drawing. I LOVE to watch people create.
I'll try to post my 'Market drawings' up tomorrow if I get the chance.

  15. Hey Theresa,
Thank you. I hope you're right. I think before the next market I will research different, and possibly more effective, ways to display my prints. This latest print is the ONE I sold.

    Thanks again,
