Poppies a photo by Blissful Pumpkin on Flickr.
I drew this floral picture in watercolour pencils on holidays in Jan 2009. I was playing around with watercolour pencils as they are easier to take on holidays than paint. I hope you like it. Feedback is most welcome and always appreciated.
Sorry for the long delay since my last post.

I love poppies. They always seem so defiant standing out, so proud in their brilliant red. And I love your painting as well, you have added so much depth to the petals. I also like the way you have only part shaded the background as it gives the flowers more contrast.
ReplyDeleteAlways look forward to your work no matter how often you post. Everyday matters sometimes get in the way of things.
Hi there Linda,
ReplyDeleteThank you very much. I was feeling a bit flat until I read your comments. Thank you =D
Yes, everyday matters do get in the way of art, most of the time. I have 3 young children and a husband. That says it all.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
